The personal side.
The resume tells you where I’ve worked. Here’s everything else.
The Origin Story
I grew up in Sheridan, Indiana — small town, no family connections in business. My dad handed me Rich Dad Poor Dad when I was 9 and took me to his banker meetings. He had me draft tenant letters and write papers on short sales in middle school. That curiosity about real estate and how things work stuck.
- Read Rich Dad Poor Dad at age 9
- Wrote a short sale paper in middle school
- Won 2nd place — county business plan competition
- Started a business before graduating high school
Working on Fitness
Something I care about and keep coming back to. Hit 10% body fat at one point through pure consistency. Finished a quarter marathon trail run (42nd of 216) and a night trail run (86th of 275). Sometimes in the gym daily, sometimes not — right now I'm counting macros and getting back in shape before the wedding.
- Quarter Marathon — 42nd of 216 (1:04:55)
- Night Trail Run — 86th of 275 (1:18:55)
- Hit 10% body fat (at peak)
- Multiple 5K and 15K races completed
Life on the Road
All 48 continental U.S. states. Pacific Coast Highway in both directions. Mexico, Canada, Bahamas, Turks & Caicos, Costa Rica. Solo motorcycle road trip from Omaha to Indianapolis. Travel is the thing I never get tired of.
- All 48 continental U.S. states
- 6+ countries
- Solo motorcycle road trip
- Proposed at a waterfall in Costa Rica
Mind & Philosophy
I read a lot. Stoicism is a big one — Marcus Aurelius, Epictetus, the eudemonia concept (well-being through reason and active engagement). But also philosophy more broadly, business books, mental models, whatever helps me think clearer. A rough year in 2022 pushed me deeper into all of it.
- Stoic-leaning, generally curious
- Created my own Impossible List
- Completed a 3-day fast
- Always reading something
Pursuit of Adventure
If it's slightly terrifying, it's probably on my list. Skydiving. Parasailing. Hiked Angel's Landing. Climbed a Mayan pyramid. Winter-camped in the Michigan UP. Polar plunges. Ate raw conch straight from the ocean.
- Hiked Angel's Landing, Zion National Park
- Skydiving · Parasailing · Cliff jumping
- 20+ live comedy shows
- Met founders, athletes, and bestselling authors
What Matters Most
Got engaged at Nauyaca Waterfall in Costa Rica in November 2025. Cat dad. Family matters — I made a point to hunt and fish with my grandpa before he passed. Started a NYE trip tradition with friends back in 2018.
- Engaged · November 2025
- Cat dad · Multiple cats
- Family first
- Annual NYE tradition since 2018
